    Mixed-gender research teams produce more high-impact scientific studies than teams made up of just one gender, according to new research from the University of Notre Dame.

    Examining 6.6 million papers published from more than 15,000 medical journals worldwide since 2000, researchers at the University of Notre Dame, Northwestern University, New York University, and Michigan State University found that mixed-gender teams produced more novel and innovative work than all-women or all-men teams of comparable size, on average.
