The University of Notre Dame will observe International Education Week (IEW) with a host of events to be held on campus this week (Nov. 17 to 21), including a keynote lecture by author Mark Overmann, titled"Contributions of the Liberal Arts Major to Society, Business and Global Relations."
Overmann鈥檚 address will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 18) in the ballroom of the LaFortune Student Center. Sponsored by Notre Dame鈥檚 College of Arts and Letters and Career Center, the talk is free and open to the public.
The author of"Working World: Careers in International Education, Exchange and Development,"Overmann is a 2002 Notre Dame graduate and serves as director of college communications at Georgetown University, where he works closely with the university鈥檚 international outreach and exchange programs, specifically with China.

A joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education, IEW aims to celebrate and promote global exchange between the United States and other countries.
