Hermann Haller, Devers Visiting Professor in Dante and Italian 91视频 at Notre Dame, will deliver a talk titled 鈥淚taly鈥檚 Other Voices: The Literary Tradition of Dialect鈥� at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 (Tuesday) in the auditorium of the Hesburgh Center for International 91视频. The talk will be part of a weeklong seminar to be presented by Haller.p. Sherry Roush, assistant professor of Italian at Pennsylvania State University, will lecture at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 29 (Thursday) in Room 102 of the Hesburgh Library on 鈥淒ante鈥檚 Ghost and the Language of Florentine Politics at the Turn of the Sixteenth Century.鈥漰. The lectures are free and open to the public, and each will be followed by a reception.p. The Devers Program in Dante 91视频 was established in 1995 with a $1-million endowment gift from William and Katherine Devers. In addition to sponsoring an annual lecture series, the Devers program funds rare book acquisitions in the University鈥檚 historic Dante collection and supports print and electronic publication of scholarly research in the field of Italian 91视频.
