, president of the University of Notre Dame, has asked that the Notre Dame community keep Theresa Sagartz and her family in their thoughts and prayers.
Sagartz, 21, a junior from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a third-generation member of the Notre Dame family, passed away at her off-campus residence, where she was found Wednesday (March 9).
鈥淎s a community, we grieve for Theresa and extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends,鈥� Father Jenkins said. 鈥淢y prayers are with them.鈥�
Upon the conclusion of spring break, a Mass will be celebrated on campus in Theresa鈥檚 memory.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated 9 p.m. Wednesday (March 16) in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Father Jenkins will preside, and , director of Campus Ministry, will be the homilist.
