The University of Notre Dame鈥檚 (FTT) will present 鈥淧rovenance,鈥� the latest play written by Notre Dame Moreau Fellow . Directed by , the play will run from Nov. 16 to 18 (Wednesday to Friday) at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 20 (Sunday) at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m., in the Philbin Studio Theatre of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.
describes her new work as follows: 鈥淲hen two sisters receive a stolen painting created by their Mexican great-grandfather, the women clash over whether to keep or sell the valuable artwork.鈥�
Chuck Graham in the Tucson Citizen of her previous work, 鈥淕arc铆a-Romero has a writing style that comfortably contains the literary spirit of Gabriel Garc铆a M谩rquez, Jorge Luis Borges and others鈥� The conversations in this play flow back and forth in gentle shapes.鈥�
The performance on Nov. 17 will be followed by a post-play discussion with the author.
