OPINION | By Emmanuel Katongole, professor of theology and peace studies in the Keough 91ÊÓÆµ of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame. A priest ordained by the Archdiocese of Kampala, Uganda, he is the co-founder and president of the Bethany Land Institute, a residential training program in integral ecology in rural Uganda.

“Ten years ago, Pope Francis made a bold call to care for our common home,” said the Rev. Emmanuel Katongole, a Catholic priest and Notre Dame professor of theology and peace studies who co-founded the institute, in his opening remarks.
