Mark Berends, a University of Notre Dame professor of sociology who directs the in the , has been named a fellow of the (AERA).
The AERA Fellows Program honors education researchers who have substantial research accomplishments, conveys the association鈥檚 commitment to excellence in research and emphasizes the importance of sustaining excellent research in the field.
The selection of Berends to join the AERA鈥檚 2014 Class of Fellows was based on nomination by his peers and approval of the AERA Council. It was announced in mid-February.
